Industries we insure

We insure the businesses that build, feed and run

Southwest Florida.

Commercial insurance for contractors, restaurants, marinas, landscapers, property managers and the trades — placed with carriers who understand a coastal Florida risk, out of offices in Fort Myers, Naples and Port Charlotte.

Commercial insurance by industry

Twelve of the industries we write most. Each links to a page on that industry’s coverage.

Construction & the trades

Certificates, additional insureds and subcontractor exposure — plus builders risk on every open job.

Restaurants & food service

Liquor liability, kitchen fire, spoilage and the season-long income loss when a storm closes the doors.

Marine & waterfront

Marinas, charters, dock builders and boat dealers — protection and indemnity, plus care, custody and control.

Landscaping & lawn care

Property damage from equipment and chemicals, trailered gear on the road, and a seasonal payroll that moves.

Real estate & property management

Premises liability across a portfolio, professional liability on the management side, and wind on every roof.

Retail & storefronts

Slip-and-fall, inventory, tenant improvements you paid for, and business interruption through a slow repair.

Professional services

Errors and omissions, cyber and client data, and the lease requirements your landlord sends every January.

Nonprofits & associations

Directors and officers, volunteer liability, special events and the certificates every venue asks for.

Home services

Cleaning, pool, pest and handyman work — liability inside a client's home, plus tools in the truck overnight.

Hospitality & lodging

Guest injury, pools and amenities, wind-driven closures, and revenue that lives or dies by season.

Auto service & repair

Garagekeepers coverage for customer vehicles, lifts and equipment, and pollution from the shop floor.

Medical & wellness practices

Malpractice coordination, patient records and cyber, expensive equipment, and staff benefits under one roof.

Not on the list? We probably still write it.

Twelve tiles cannot cover a whole economy. We write manufacturers, wholesalers, churches, schools, staffing firms, breweries, salons and plenty else besides. Tell us what you do and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right agency for it.

The foundation

Five coverages nearly every business needs

01

General liability

Injury and property damage you cause to other people — and the legal defense, which is usually the bigger number. It is also what every contract and lease is asking you to prove.

02

Commercial property

Your building, contents, equipment and inventory — insured to what it costs to rebuild today, not what the building would sell for. In coastal SWFL, wind and flood usually sit on separate policies.

03

Workers' compensation

Medical care and lost wages when an employee is hurt on the job. Florida’s requirements are strictest in construction, and uninsured subcontractors become your problem at audit.

04

Commercial auto

Vehicles titled to the business, lettered trucks, and hired and non-owned coverage for the employee who runs to the supply house in their own car. Personal auto policies routinely exclude all of it.

05

Umbrella

Extra liability limits stacked on top of the policies above. Increasingly it is not optional — general contractors and municipalities frequently require it before you can start work.

Industry-specific coverages — garagekeepers, liquor liability, professional liability, cyber, protection and indemnity, equipment floaters — get added on top. See the business FAQs for how each one works.

What working with us actually looks like

Independent

Thirty-plus carriers, no house brand

We are not captive to one company, so we can put your submission in front of the markets that actually want your class of business — and move you when a carrier's appetite changes, which in Florida it does.

Certificates

Same-day COIs, in
most cases

Send the request and the contract language. If the wording is already on your policy you will usually have the certificate the same business day. If it is not, we will tell you what it costs to add before you are standing at the job site.

Audits

We sit with you through the comp audit

Payroll classifications, subcontractor certificates, officer exclusions. We help you keep the estimate current during the year so the year-end bill is not a surprise — and we will dispute a misclassification on your behalf.

A client

“Our employees have started receiving their gift cards, and they're extremely happy and grateful. Thank you for making sure we were aware of this offer. It is only one of the smaller reasons you are a terrific insurance agent.”
